Buy your tickets here to join us and enjoy a seasonal Saturday Foraging walk with Rob Gould, Cotswold Forager in the streets, fields and woodlands of Northampton; OR to attend a Sunday fermenting workshop learning about good-gut kombucha, kimchi, krauts, pickles, preserves and more.

Each Saturday Foraging session leaves at 10am from the Workshop for Sustainability, NN26PQ and includes a 2-3 hour walk and talk with Rob. We go out, into and beyond the streets we walk every day, and into the pockets of nature that we possibly forget. These brilliant, seasonal workshops offer direct access to providing real hands on experiences and knowledge of identifying edible (and non-edible!) plants found in your garden, park, nature reserve.

A delightful 3-course lunch in good company follows, incorporating foraged ingredients and what can be found growing in the kitchen garden, with time to look at some of the Food Library’s books.

Sunday Fermenting workshops start at 10am at the Workshop for Sustainability, NN26PQ . These group sessions offer the opportunity to produce healthy, flavoursome additions for your meals and to preserve what you forage and grow. With fermentation you don’t have to rely on the jars you buy from the supermarket, you fill your own jars, with your own food which is good for the gut and full of heart. Each workshop focuses on different techniques and crafts such as salt-based and lacto-based ferments – krauts, kombucha, pickles, kimchi, miso and other delicious condiments. Aprons and equipment are provided, we may ask you to bring a jar or the odd ingredient depending on what is being made.

The price for each workshop is £65pp, including a delicious 3-course lunch and time to access Food Library resource books. Please include any allergen information and dietary requirements in your booking notes.
