About Julia:
Julia Bell is a Northamptonshire based chef and food waste warrior. She was trained in Cordon Bleu cookery before embarking on a career cheffing for Directors Dining Rooms, feeding stock brokers in London and judges in Birmingham. Over the years Julia has evolved her passion for cooking, combined with her Italian heritage and drive to make a difference in the food industry by becoming a food rescue hero; spending much of her time collecting waste supermarket produce for local food banks and creative food projects (such as Northamptonโs famous Elsieโs โBinnersโ), as well as assisting businesses and festivals to reduce food waste. She is in constant pursuit of the pleasure and art of making new foods from ingredients that might otherwise end up in landfill.
